PRUFROCK AND ME

What do you really know about someone that you see on stage? I have been a professional comedian for 15 years and I still don’t know how that happened. Growing up I was solitary, painfully shy, and under the surface maybe I still am. In his twenties T. S. Eliot wrote The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock about just such a man. Ever since I studied it at school it has been like a soundtrack to my life. In this show I put joking aside and talk about loneliness, shyness, performing, and this beautiful poem.

“An engaging performer.” The Stage
“A charming storyteller.” Manchester Evening News
